Since 1973, Housden Photography has and continues to be one of the most premiere portrait studios in the Shenandoah Valley. We specialize in fine wall art and designer albums for families, children and high school seniors. Our livelihood for more than forty years has been creating timeless portraits that are cherished for years and handed down through generations.
Housden Photography consists of Ralph, Pat and Chris Housden. Mr. and Mrs. Housden founded Housden Photography in 1973. Through years of countless seminars and continuing education, the Housdens have built what has become one of the largest and well-known portrait galleries in Virginia. Mr. Housden, a Photographic Craftsman, has won many awards over the years and has been honored to have had portraits featured in the Professional Photographers of America Loan Collection.
In 2004, Chris Housden joined Team Housden, taking over retouching, marketing and creative design. Soon after, Chris stepped behind the camera specializing in high school senior portraiture. Chris has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Eastern Mennonite University, and has continued his photography education every year since 2004 and has been mentored by the best fashion and portrait photographers in the United States. Chris has also won several awards for his portraiture throughout his career.

In addition to our outstanding selection of settings inside our studio, we also have a large outdoor portrait park with unique settings that you will only find at Housden Photography, as well as a large farm nearby where we offer open field and rustic barn portraits.
